soil fertility indicates the nutrients available in your soil. For your crops to do well, the soil have to be fertile hence the need to maintain soil fertility. Soil fertility can be managed by maintaining the soil that is already available. This is by controlling soil erosion in the fields. Soil fertility can be also improved by use of organic additives in the soil. This includes addition of well composted manure. Composted manure for atleast 3 months before applying it in the fields. Bio-slurry can also be used. The soil fertility amendment material should be added at least 2 feet from the bottom of the crop. Add at least 3-5 kg of manure per tree. Avoid the use of inorganic fertilizer as it destroy the soil in the long run
