Earth's average surface gravity is about 9.8 meters per second per second. The Moon's surface gravity is about 1/6 as powerful or about 1.6 meters per second per second. The Moon's surface gravity is weaker because it is far less massive than Earth.

Gravity is a "Energy flux". Because of that it is not a constant. The moon is not a "natural satelite", it is an abandoned Andromedan Spaceship...Man has no idea how much is the gravity in the moon (he has never been there, on the surfice).
