Parasitism is an ecological relationship between two organisms of different species in which one organism derives nourishment from the host and at the same time render the host useless or endangered the host while mutualism is an ecological relationship between two organisms of different species in which both organisms benefits from each other by deriving nourishment from both parties

Parasitism is better than mutualism in that parasite first of all is an organism that depends entirely on another organism for its survival and the phenomenon is called parasitism. A good example is the jigger scientifically called tunga penetrans penetrates the human foot as a flea and develops into a jigger as it feeds on the host blood. It enjoys both accommodation and food while the host is suffering from anaemia and worry.
