It is very interesting how the media covers Donald J. Trump since 2015 when he announced he was running for President. Have you noticed the change?

If you look at interviews from long ago, sure there was some negative press on some issues from time to time, generally though there was also many positive things he did that they reported on in positive ways. He helped many different people over the years from all walks of life and in all different kinds of ways that truly helped them and that they appreciated at the time. I remember growing up hearing some of the different stories about him.

Since he decided he was running for President in 2015 and won, the stories and things said by the so called "mainstream media" have been mostly negative, including even wishes for his death from covid just recently.

In 2017 Pew research did a study that in the first 60 days of Trump's presidency in 2017, 62% of news coverage was negative with only 5% being positive and 33% neutral. While during the same period of time (first 60 days of presidency) other presidents had: Clinton (28% negative/44% positive/44% neutral), Bush (28% negative/27% positive/49% neutral), and Obama (20% negative/42% positive/38% neutral).

In 2018 the trend of overly negative news coverage continued with 92% of stories reported being negative, and continued again in 2019 with 90% being negative (excluding neutral statements).

Now in 2020, from March 4-May 31, 2020 the media's coverage of Donald J. Trump has jumped to 94% negative and even during May it was 99.5% negative.

So do you really trust what the "mainstream" media tells you about Donald J. Trump?

How do you vote?

Surely I won't say something more because I don't live in America and as for me I don't agree with what the media says

Newswise — A Rutgers-led study finds that online misinformation, or “fake news,” lowers people's trust in mainstream media across party lines. The researchers defined fake news as fabricated information that looks like news content but lacks the editorial standards and practices of legitimate journalism.

In contrast to the negative relationship between fake news exposure and trust in media, the study, published in Misinformation Review, found consuming fake news increased political trust, especially trust in Congress and the justice system. Fake news consumption was associated with a 4% increase in overall political trust and an 8% increase for trust in Congress.
