He was the top contributor in that organisation and had they accepted his proposal, Africa wouldn't be as it is now because was after a united Africa with same currency backed by gold the gold dinar and his assassination, left Africa and Libya at large the bandage of debts and relying on developed countries for assistance.

Life will never be same again in libya due to the demise of Gardaff. It is a painful story of history to find a country that had to almos world class economy status to see that now it is turmoil, it is people are sold in a broad light in slave trade. Yes the man, had over stayed on power but killing him didn't solve libyas problem. We are need change but we should desire a good change that has no bloodshed

When it comes to Gadaffi, for me, I as a person, in my opinion, its another issue, Gadaffi was the only president who spent much time ruling, but doing good for people, for others, yes he spent much time on seat of presidency but he was alone, its our habit in fact its becoming our presidential custom, here in Africa, but if you spend so that time doing right, there we say at least, Gadaffi had lots of dreams that was taking Africa high and Libya in whole, Gaddiff was a man, they assassinated him hoping for more peace but........... In luganda we have a saying that "ASIRISE TEYEJJUSA) literally meaning, if you stay silent you don't regret your words since you stayed quite,
So I say assassination of Colonel Gaddaff did more harm than goods in both Africa and Libya,

Muammar Gaddafi, the deposed leader of Libya, was captured and killed on 20 October 2011 during the Battle of Sirte. Gaddafi was found hiding in a culvert west of Sirte and captured by National Transitional Council forces. He was killed shortly afterwards. The NTC initially claimed he died from injuries sustained in a firefight when loyalist forces attempted to free him, although a graphic video of his last moments show rebel fighters beating him and one of them sodomizing him with a bayonet[2] before he was shot several times as he pleaded for his life.
After the fall of Tripoli to forces of the opposition National Transitional Council (NTC) in August 2011, Gaddafi and his family escaped the Libyan capital. He was widely rumored to have taken refuge in the south of the country. In fact, though, Gaddafi had fled in a small convoy to Sirte on the day Tripoli fell. His son Mutassim Gaddafi followed in a second convoy.
