In Uganda agriculture has supported lives of many but still a few do it. Not that they don't want it but on the side of the young generation no wants it because it's only left to the poorest and so they in return do practice poor methods of farming simply because it's for poor. So it's a call to every Uganda to think how important agriculture is and do right well knowing that without we can't live

It's true cause Ugandan farmers still lack good farming methods. And o think also it's because of the government we have too. May be farmers could change to commercial farming if they are helped. Like those in deep villages who have no access to make research either on phones.

Truth; agriculture is the backbone of Uganda but it has been ignored and hence declining in development.
The government of Uganda have failed to support farmers in anyways due to corruption. In this few people gain in these agricultural facilities and also don't use it in that sector hence leaving farming backwards.
The government should embrace the modern farming practices eg irrigation systems .

Poor farming methods is a problem to the agricultural sector.

Ignorance and lack of enough research has kept the agricultural sector behind yet it is the back born of Uganda's economy. Farmers dont want to adopt new farming methods hence yielding poor quality products. Failure to change from subsistence to commercial farming is also another problem. Farmers have failed to make market research and they end up being exploited by middle men. And they don't know how to preserve and add value on their products so that they gain what they deserve.

It's a deliberate government policy to destroy the agricultural sector. First of all Uganda is agro based economy, how much does the government allocates to the agricultural sector in each financial year only 3% or 5% . Secondly there's way how a country can transform in mechanised farming without government assistance and at the same time promoting bottle irrigation by the former president.
