It does especially in developing countries such as Uganda where by quality standards, plans for building and corruption amongst authority enforcers leads to construction accidents for example a building collapsed in Bwebajja, in 2016 a building collapsed in Wandegeya near Makerere University and recently last week on Wednesday another building collapsed in Kisenyi and a number of people lost their lives in those buildings yet there's KCCA, UNBS, URA and negligence of their duties resulted in loss of lives that would have been avoided hence a hindrance to economic development in those areas.
